E-Z Oil Drain Kit - Fits Oil Pan Drain Plug Holes With 1/2-20 Thread

E-Z Oil Drain Kit - Fits Oil Pan Drain Plug Holes With 1/2-20 Thread

This kit is the answer to the job we all hate - oil changes. By installing an E-Z oil drain hose into your existing drain plug hole you simply pull the other end out the drain plug hole and drain the oil from outside your boat. It doesn't get any easier than this! The hose is 44" long and has a cap. Gen 4 BBC oil pans are typically 1/2"-20 and Gen 5/6 pans are typically 12mm metric. These drains kits use 3/8" marine hose. NOTE: To pull drain hose through the external boat drain plug requires a minimum 7/8" hole.

So, the description says "simply pull the other end out the drain plug hole" Don't know WHAT drain plug I'm supposed to have for this to work.. I have a standard 1/2" NPT drain like most any OTHER boat on the planet and the hose end doesn't fit though....

This really needs a swivel fitting. When I first installed the fitting the thread for the hose went straight down, an impossible position for my jet boat. I tired clocking the fitting with washers, but after being installed and removed for the third time the fitting stripped and nearly cost me my $600 oil pan. With shipping I paid $40 for this part. For the same $40 from amazon (granted I have prime and free shipping) I got Fragola Performance aluminum fittings. An adapter, 90 degree swivel push lock hose end, straight push lock hose end, and a plug. Couple more dollars for some 3/8 fuel line in whatever length you need. Even if you have to pay for shipping from amazon Fragola fittings is a much better performing and looking solution.
